We are already 5 days into the third quarter of the year so make sure your Chase Freedom card is activated for the third quarter 5% cash back. The 5% cash back for the third quarter is valid on up to $1,500 that you spend at Gas Stations & Restaurants. You need to activate your cash back for every quarter individually and you can do so 15 days before the quarter begins.
These are the categories for 5% cash back for remainder 2012:
- Jul – Sep: Gas Stations & Restaurants
- Oct – Dec: Hotels, Airlines, Best Buy & Kohls
